This past weekend, something amazing happened: The Mighty Mighty Bosstones played a free concert in the Boston Common as part of the Outside the Box festival.
But that’s not the amazing part.
At 8pm, as the sun slowly set, wiping out the week’s heat wave, thousands of people filled the Boston Common. Some lay, watching the clouds, some sit, leaning against friends, and many danced along as the band played their horns and sang about Cambridge and Fenway.
During 90 minutes of music, thousands of individuals were a united Boston community.
