Boston Cares is now accepting applications from runners interested in joining our inaugural Boston Marathon team. The 119th Boston Marathon will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015. We are thrilled that Boston Cares has two numbers through John Hancock’s Non-Profit Marathon Program. Applications must be submitted by December 1 at 5:00 p.m.
Boston Cares is hoping to raise more than $15,000 to support the mobilization of more than 9,000 individual and corporate volunteers a year, benefiting more than 150 non-profit agencies and schools and helping hundreds of thousands of Massachusetts residents who face challenges around basic needs including hunger, homelessness, and lack of English skills or a high school diploma.
Founded in 1991, Boston Cares is a registered 501c3 charity and we depend on the public’s support to leverage the power of volunteers to improve the quality of life for all Greater Bostonians.
