What is your company doing to give back to the community this year? Why not get your colleagues out of the office and roll up your sleeves to make a difference with Boston Cares? Our signature Hands at Work program provides customized service projects for groups of any size, developed to meet your team’s unique needs around time, day, location and type of work.
Interested in education? Summer is a great time to get into the schools to add a fresh coat of paint, spruce up the playgrounds and add murals to the hallways – making a visible difference in where students learn, and how they feel about their school. For many students, particularly those in low-income neighborhoods, school is where they spend the majority of their time, and a place where they feel safest. Help improve these spaces this summer by partnering with Boston Cares for a school transformation project through Hands at Work.
If getting out of the office is too big of a challenge, let us come to you. Boston Cares can bring hands-on projects like our Bed Build to your office parking lot, or set up table-top activities such as creating STEM education kits in your conference room.
Whatever your needs, we can develop a project with impact that meets them. And while impact is important, planning a corporate volunteer project is about the benefits to your team as well. Research shows that employee volunteerism can increase retention by driving up employee satisfaction, and help build leadership skills for employees to advance within the organization.
