In the upcoming month Boston Cares will be having its first session of Teen TeamWorks for 2013. Teen TeamWorks is an annual, four-day, small group volunteering program designed for high school teens ages 13-17. The program provides opportunities for fifteen teenagers to participate in team building and leadership activities, civic engagement discussions, and daily volunteer projects at local non-profit organizations.
This winter’s sessions of Teen TeamWorks will take place February 19th – 22nd from 10:00am-4:00pm at Suffolk University Law School through the generosity of the Rappaport Center for Law and Public Service. (Please note: lunch is provided). During the February session participants will engage in community service, civic engagement, social justice learning, and community service in the areas of education, hunger, and cultural awareness.
It will certainly be a fun and informative week that will impact the lives of many people including and not limited to the Teen TeamWorks members.
The application deadline is January 29th.
All applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by February 5th.
