Meet Our Newest Boston Cares Community Partners!

This past January, we welcomed two new organizations to our family of partners. Please join us in welcoming Everyday Boston and Cambridge Women’s Center to the Boston Cares community!

Everyday Boston aims to connect Bostonians across a highly segregated city through the sharing of life stories. They believe that, to bridge long standing social, racial, and economic divides, Bostonians need two things: 1) Listening and communication skills and 2) Opportunities to connect. Through story-focused programming, they provide both. Their vision is that Boston becomes the most connected city in America.

Recently, Everyday Boston had opportunities on our calendar in which volunteers made Valentine cards and distributed such. These opportunities were a part of a movement to choose kindness and connection and to show some love to Your Wicked Awesome Neighbor. Be on the lookout for more opportunities to come with Everyday Boston!

Cambridge Women’s Center is the oldest continuously running community center for women in the United States. The Cambridge Women’s Center is open to anyone for whom woman is a meaningful identifier or lived experience. We offer a safe space for learning, emotional support, empathy, and empowerment through self-determination.

Currently, CWC has Drop-In Sessions on our calendar, in which volunteers help to set up food and supplies for their drop-in hours every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 12-2:15 PM, 2:15-4:15 PM, and 4:15-7 PM. Volunteers also help to serve food, distribute hygiene supplies and clothing, and provide computer assistance. If you are interested in this opportunity, you can learn more and sign up on our calendar here: Drop In Sessions at Cambridge Women’s Center

We are excited about our new partnerships with both of these organizations and encourage our volunteers to get involved in the great opportunities that they have to offer!
