What is Summer of Service?

Celebrate summer in Boston by competing in the Summer of Service! Summer of Service combines volunteerism and the spirit of the Boston Cares community in a 3-month, 5-project challenge. Volunteers complete 5 projects during the summer to win a Boston Cares t-shirt and will be entered to win other fantastic prizes! The Summer of Service ends with the Summer Block Party on the Greenway.

Why Should You Accept the Challenge?

Last year over 290 volunteers participated in Boston Cares’ Summer of Service, committing over 20,000 hours of service! Summer of Service is a great way to meet other volunteers and give back to the vibrant greater Boston community. The Summer Block Party is a fun celebration to recognize the hard work all Boston Cares volunteers achieve that members of the Boston Cares community can enjoy together.
